The Rundown: The heroes battle to save the remaining souls on Earth as Terrific fights the Devil in hell.

Owlwoman has betrayed Terrific and the hero is being tortured by Neron. At the same time, the remaining heroes on Earth fight to release the remaining people and evacuate them to the Phantom Zone. Neron sees that his forces are failing and decides to send his new recruit to back them up.

As Terrific is thrown into the abyss, Owlwoman is sent back to Earth where she sees the heroes both battle and appeal to the humanity of the villains they are fighting. Owlwoman will have to decide who and what she really is as time begins to run out for everyone.

The Story: Waid delivers a thrilling, entertaining and often emotional story in this issue. I love the emotional moments a lot and the thrilling contrasts between what Terrific is facing and the battle with the heroes on Earth. There’s great action throughout the story and it culminates in a great moment for one of the characters that encapsulates what it means to be a hero.

The Art: Mora creates some truly stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the gorgeous details throughout every page and panel.
