The Rundown: Steve has a final showdown with Colton as a dark truth is revealed.

After stopping Doom and giving the rebel forces in Latveria a fighting chance, Steve gets a message from Colton who is going after a barracks full of soldiers. At the same time, Colton thinks back to his final trip home and how he couldn’t deal with who and what he had become even with his mother.
Steve makes it to the barracks but is too late to stop Colton from murdering everyone he sees. The Captains America get into a fierce battle whose ending could lead to a new beginning for one and possibly the end of the other.
The Story: Zdarksy brings this story to a thrilling, satisfying conclusion filled with great emotional moments for Colton and Steve. I love the contrast in their stories and philosophies as they struggle with what the mantle they wear means in the world they live in and that tension is brilliantly laid out in their final confrontation. I really like the tone of this issue and look forward to seeing what happens in the next one.
The Art: Schiti crafts some beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the beautifully detailed action.
