The Rundown: The Avengers take on Kang and an army of the dead for the fate of existence.
Kang has retrieved the flaw in the design of the cosmos and plans to use it to remake existence to give him new worlds to conquer. The Avengers find themselves fighting undead heroes from across the multiverse as Cyclops’s X-Men team takes down Kang’s forces on Earth. The heroes also get some unexpected help from Hyperion in their fight.
The Avengers must find a way to get through an army of the undead to get to Kang, but he proves to be growing in power exponentially and everything they try is failing. The Impossible City gets visitors who repair it in a way where it finally remembers what it is and the Avengers find themselves being helped by some unlikely allies.
The Story: MacKay crafts some intense action and surprises throughout this issue. The characters are dealing with a significant threat and I enjoyed seeing how they work together to deal with it. The story has definitely picked up and added interesting stakes that kept me engaged and I look forward to seeing what happens with the arrival of the new characters in the fight.
The Art: Karami creates some great visual moments throughout the issue. I really enjoyed the art style and the action was thrilling throughout the story.
