The Rundown: As Klaus settles into his life as a kept man, he will soon discover that his benefactor is harboring a dark secret.

Klaus’ adventures in Hollywood continue as Viv brings him to her latest audition and uses his gifts to channel the spirit of an actress perfect for the role she wants. As Klaus sits in the void talking to a man awaiting judgement, The Shivers gets some vital information about his whereabouts. At the same time, Shivers’ antics with his new vampire amusement park are drawing the attention of some who are not impressed.

After sending his men to Viv’s house to collect Klaus, they discover that there is more to the actress than they imagined and their revelation comes at a deadly price. After Viv leaves the scene, Klaus finds himself alone until another party decides that they want him as well.

The Story: Gerard Way and Shaun Simon deliver a delightful, fun story in this issue. As the forces against Klaus continue to grow in number and ferocity, the characters attitude continues to entertain. His obliviousness is one of the factors that makes this story so compelling and readable. I can’t wait to see what trouble Klaus gets into next.

The Art: I.N.J. Culbard does some awesome work with the art in this issue. The style is perfect for the tone of the story and there are some great moments throughout.
