Wonder Woman #784

DC Comics

Written by Michael W Conrad and Becky Cloonan

Art by Marcio Takara

Letters by Pat Brosseau

The Rundown: Diana takes on multiple enemies and discovers a cost of her resurrection.

Diana and Shining Knight continue their fight above the skies until Wonder Woman discovers where the duplicates of her are coming from. With Shining Knight taking on the duplicates covering the perimeter, Diana heads into a hall of mirrors to face her enemy. An enemy who transports her to a world where she has no one to fight. Fortunately, she is able to discover quickly what reality is.

After facing her enemy and rejecting his offer, Diana finds herself not only facing the ruler of another dimension, but also Shining Knight who is still loyal to Dr. Psycho. After using a special weapon given to her by a friend, she discovers that the knight is someone that she knows. Someone who does not belong in her world.

The Story: Conrad and Cloonan does a good job bringing this particular arc to a close. I liked the surprises in the issue and where the story takes Diana. As interesting as the story is, the build up to the Trial of the Amazons is a lot more compelling thematically and I likes seeing those moments play out.

The Art: Takara delivers some great action in the art. There are some big, dynamic visual moments to be found and I really enjoyed the style and tone of the art.
