The Rundown: Wolverine goes on a mission to stop an attack on Krakoa, but the conspiracy against the mutants takes another turn.

Jeff decides to give his old friend Logan some information about the CIA’s Head of X-Desk after locating her coming out of a place he knows she would never frequent. He decides to visit the place himself to find out why. On Krakoa, Wolverine decides to tell Domino about an investigation into a group trying to take the mutants out of the pharmaceutical business and they are willing to go to extremes to do it.

Logan decides to tell Domino that the group they’re looking for is headed to the island with a cargo that could seriously damage it along with killing the sea life in the surrounding area. When an unexpected visitor in the form of Maverick shows up on the island, Logan decides to enlist his help with their current mission. In the aftermath, Jeff will have his life turned upside down and receive a visit from a familiar face.

The Story: Percy crafts a story with some great intrigue and interesting character moments. The story is engaging, but its slow pacing is an issue. I liked both parts of the story a lot, but they felt like they were competing with each other rather than flowing together in a way that was compelling as a reader. I like the nods to the bigger conspiracy at play and the mystery so I continue to be interested in the story itself. I just wish it didn’t take so long to get to the good parts.

The Art: Medina delivers some great art in the issue. There are some great character moments and the action is intense and visually engaging.
