The Rundown: Sara confronts Aphrodite, but ends up bonding with the assassin.

Aphrodite IX has Sara right where she wants her. Unfortunately, the Witchblade steps in and creates a connection between the two that breaks Aphrodite from her programming and giving Sara the time to escape from the lab with her and her partner. The pair decide to take the construct back to Sara’s place while they continue their investigation.
Sara tries to learn more about the assassin while they are living together, but Aphrodite seems more concerned with emotion than information. As the three of them return to one of the crime scenes, they discover something that could hold the key to Sara’s investigation.
The Story: Bennett creates a fun, engaging and entertaining story in this issue. I am invested in this investigation and like that the arc takes a beat to deal with the tension between Sara and Aphrodite. There isn’t a lot of action in this issue, but the world building in this arc creates some great moments that kept me invested.
The Art: Cafaro creates some great art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the character designs alot.
