The Rundown: A live god will divide the crew and Paula prepares to take her revenge.

Georges continues to be haunted by the ghosts of his past as one of his crew plummets closer to the living god before them. With no options and Paula targeting anyone who leaves the ship, the Captain decides to take his chances to save a member of his crew. Counting on his nemesis to not fire until she can look him in the eye, he disembarks and rescues his crewmate just in time to decide to ride their momentum straight into the creature.

While the rest of the crew debates what to do next, Paula unclogs her engines and prepares to kill the man she hates. With time running out for everyone, the ship moves to intercept Paula and in the process causes damage none of them wanted as well as give Paula the opportunity to get the drop on her prey.

The Story: Al Ewing continues to craft an interesting and often harrowing tale for these characters. We finally get more information about the circumstances that pitted two of these characters against each other and it is engaging in how personal it is. The story has some great character moments throughout and the cliffhanger is well worth the read.

The Art: Simone Di Meo delivers some beautiful visuals throughout this issue. So many of the panels are filled with great details and emotion. I continue to be in awe at how the art engenders emotion from the reader and I cannot wait to see more.
