Visual Effects legend Phil Tippett makes his feature director debut with the stop-motion film Mad God coming to Shudder.

Tippett is the Academy Award winning visual effect pioneer from such classic films as the Star Wars trilogy, Robocop, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, The Mandalorian, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, The Orville, The Man Who Fell to Earth and more. Mad God has been a labor of love and a testament to the power of creative grit. Mad God combines live-action and stop-motion, miniature sets and other innovative techniques to bring Tippett’s wholly unique and grotesquely beautiful vision to life. 

Follow The Assassin through a forbidding world of tortured souls, decrepit bunkers, and wretched monstrosities forged from the most primordial horrors of the subconscious mind. Every set, creature, and effigy in this macabre masterpiece is hand-crafted and painstakingly animated using traditional stop-motion techniques.
