The Rundown: The remaining member of the Republic leadership is missing as Logan goes into hiding.

Ilyana embraces her destiny as a child. In the present, the leadership of the Republic has been decimated, but there are still factions loyal to them and the people are in active revolt. Logan and Sentinel One have taken a badly injured Jean Grey into the sewers beneath the city to try to help her, but she needs medicine.
Logan decides to find what she needs by traveling beneath the city until he comes upon a giant bear finishing off what is left of the Crimson Dynamo. As the two battle beneath the city, Jean is becoming delirious. After taking down the threat and getting what he needs, Logan decides on a new mission.
The Story: A dark, thrilling and engaging story from Condon. Logan’s brutality is on full display tempered with his desire to help the injured Jean. The story is small in scale and that works for the character because he isn’t part of the bigger battles in the world yet and he is still trying to find his own footing. I really like that element and how it gives the story more personal stakes.
The Art: Carbone delivers some great art in the issue. There are hints at the previous style of the series, but the imagery has a fresh, visually engaging element that I enjoyed.
