Rubble finds himself in a world that he doesn’t understand as the first murder in many years is being investigated on Cybertron.

As confusing as everything around him is, Rubble realizes that his mentor Bumblebee doesn’t have all the answers as Chromia and Prowl investigate the murder of Brainstorm. The send the young bot on his way and they try to determine who would kill Brainstorm and why.

Prowl is suspicious of not only the murder, but everyone around it including Rubble and Windblade. To make matters worse, with no suspects, Prowl needs to keep the entire investigation under wraps in order to not panic the populace. A populace that is becoming more and more interested in the words and rhetoric of Megatron and the philosophy he’s preaching about.  At his rally, his crowd listens intently and when an attack disrupts the event, Megatron and his men vow to find out who is behind it.

The intrigue and politics in this story are uniquely entertaining. Brian Ruckley has crafted an entertaining and engaging story so far with both the murder mystery and the political intrigue that follows it. As a reader, I want to know more about the murder itself and whether or not Megatron is involved. There are so many factions at play in this comic that anyone could be a suspect and that makes the story itself more appealing.

Angel Hernandez and Cachet Whitman do amazing things with the look and feel of this issue. The art is fantastic and the details in both the characters and backgrounds are beautiful.
