The Rundown: Cliff and Betty enter the lion’s den in order to save Peevy.

Cliff and Betty head to a local airfield to meet up with some British special forces that are going to smuggle them across the border to Germany. While Cliff is worried about Betty, she assures him that she is more than ready for the challenge ahead of them.

After dropping down into the woods, the couple make their way to the base Peevy is being held in. Cliff distracts the German forces with some aerial attacks and Betty finds herself face to face with the woman in charge. As tension mounts and Cliff prepares for the final assault, he finds himself facing a new menace.

The Story: Mooney crafts a fantastic story in this issue. The story is filled with fantastic action, adventure and thrills. The story has some great moments for Cliff and Betty and I love that there is a growing mystery within the series as well as Mooney giving Betty more agency. I love the progression of the story and how the action builds to a fantastic climax that makes me excited to read the next issue.

The Art: Messina delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. The flying sequences and action are thrilling to see and I love the character designs a lot.
