The Rundown: The other superpowers deal with the loss of one of their own while one of them knows the truth.

Eliza and Magus have completed their mission of killing Etienne, but Valentina seems to know something the others do not. In the aftermath of the atomic bomb drop on Hiroshima, young Etienne is born in France. Unresponsive, both doctors and nurses are seemingly unaware that they are being manipulated into giving the baby the best care that they can offer. When he gets old enough, the seemingly comatose Etienne finds a way to leave the hospital.
In the present, Magus and the government get ready for the next phase of their plan with Etienne out of the picture while Valentina pays a visit to New York where she meets with the real Etienne before he decides to send a message to his fellow superpowers celebrating his death.
The Story: Gillen delivers a stunning and compelling twist in this issue and I loved every moment of it as it was being revealed. It was a complete surprise and works brilliantly with the world of this story and its characters. I love the dynamic between Etienne and Valentina and I cannot wait to see what happens next issue.
The Art: Wijngaard delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the character designs as well as the visual choices being made in the issue especially the reveal of Etienne’s location.
