The Rundown: The Batman continues his investigation into monstrous murderers who have targeted Gordon for death.

Batman is targeted for death when he breaks into Blackgate for information. After escaping the prison with the help of Gordon, Bruce returns home to recuperate and deal with not only the growing mystery around him, but also the loneliness of his life.

After finally deciding to confide in someone, Batman goes back into the night to track down the men targeting Gordon for death. Men who are using monstrous minions to complete their mission.

The Story: Jurgens continues to deliver a fantastic story in this series. It is such a unique and interesting experience that shows an engaging side of the Batman mythos. There is some great action throughout the story and I find myself continuously impressed with the world being created in this story as well as the mystery at the heart of it.

The Art: Perkins’ art is beautifully detailed and delivers on the intense action and thrills of the story. A brilliant and visually engaging adventure.

I want to like this comic more than I do, but it has been done before.
