The Rundown: The Avengers must find a way to stop a device that will reshape the universe.

After defeating Kang, the Avengers and their new allies in the Twilight Court must decide what to do with the “grail” that has been activated and will eventually destroy and remake the universe if it isn’t stopped. Putting their heads together, with a prompt from an unexpecting Kang, the teams begin working on a plan to create a portal to shunt the device out of the multiverse entirely.
As both teams begin to work on their plans, they split into smaller teams to begin executing it. A move that will create the portal that they need. Unfortunately, sending it through the portal becomes a problem when the Ahen Combine escape and attack both teams.
The Story: MacKay creates a thrilling, fun and inventive story in this issue. I like seeing these teams working together and the story allows for some great moments between them that I appreciated. There is a great progression of events in the story leading to a fantastic twist with the return of the Ashen Combine and what happens to them at the end of the issue. It was a great way of dealing with those characters and their continued presence.
The Art: Davila creates beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and the imagery within the action. Everything looked great.
