The Rundown: Ben’s time as the one and only Spider-Man will be tested by the return of an old foe.

The employees of the Beyond Corporation take some time off the clock to drink and enjoy each other’s company. As they leave the bar and head home, one of them will discover that he is being hunted. The next day, Ben is dealing with more issues from his fight with Morbius including an upgrade to his suit. As he clashes with one of his handlers regarding his role in the company, Ben asserts the reason he became Spider-Man in the first place and where his responsibilities really lie before setting off to pay a visit to Peter in the hospital.

After giving Mary Jane time to get something to eat, Ben reveals his doubts and fears to a comatose Peter and questions whether he made the right decision. When Ben overhears a news report about a robbery, he springs into action. In the aftermath, he is sent to check on one of the board members of the company and finds himself facing off against Kraven the Hunter who wants to give him a painful gift.

The Story: Zigler does a great job balancing the different parts of this story and bringing them to an exciting and entertaining place with the return of Kraven. Ben’s conflict is well crafted and brought out in a great moment between him and Peter and the bigger conflict with his responsibilities as a hero makes for some great drama. Everything with Kraven was brilliant and Zigler showcases just how dangerous Kraven can be.

The Art: Dowling delivers some vibrant, exciting and beautifully detailed art in the issue. The characters look great and the action is thrilling.
