The Rundown: Peter investigates Ned and faces off against the Hobgoblin.

Both Kingsley and Osborn survive the attack by the Hobgoblin and Peter confronts Norman in the hospital with not only Ned’s investigation, but also Osborn’s secrets. In the aftermath, Peter pays a visit to a friend and discovers that something might be seriously wrong with Ned.

After finding out where Ned is staying, he confronts him only to be interrupted by the arrival of the Hobgoblin. After a violent and dangerous battle, Spider-Man brings down the Hobgoblin only to discover two disturbing and dangerous truths.

The Story: An entertaining and action filled story that does a great job of building tension through the dialogue and the tone. Wells does a great job of creating interesting and engaging scenarios for the characters and I really enjoyed the immediacy of the plot and its execution. I am enjoying the tone of this series and look forward to seeing what happens next.

The Art: John Romita Jr delivers visually on all of the action in the issue. There are some truly thrilling moments brought out and the emotion in many of the scenes is beautifully illustrated.
