Syfy is currently developing a new one hour series based on the popular Boom! Studios comic book series The Woods. The series will be executive produced and directed by Brad Peyton. Peyton’s previous work includes Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, San Andreas and the recently released Incarnate.

Netflix is set to release the entire first season of their upcoming Marvel series Iron Fist on March 17, 2017. Marvel, Netflix and IGN have released four new images for the series starring Finn Jones (Game of Thrones), Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones), David Wenham (300), Jessica Stroup (The Following), Tom Pelphrey (Banshee) and Rosario Dawson (Daredevil).

The countdown has been on all day in the geek world right after the announcement that a new full length trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was being released.
