The Rundown: Kara and Kal find an ally on a distant world who might be able to help them reach Earth.

Kara and Kal have found a planet with a yellow sun and the pair begin to feel the effects of its power on them. Power that allows them to do new and extraordinary things. As they continue to learn more about their powers, they discover that they can even defy gravity itself. Something that will help them when a dangerous storm crosses the planet and almost sweeps them away.

Kara wakes up after the storm to find a strange alien looking over her and Kal. The alien calls himself Brainiac and welcomes them to his home to shelter and feed them. An act that will connect them all as he offers them a way to get to Earth. A way that will require a device called a Mother Box and a place called the Phantom Zone.

The Story: Parker and Sheridan continue to create some great moments for Kara and Kal in this series and I continue to love seeing their relationship grow. The story creates some great moments of action and suspense especially when the pair finally meet Brainiac. I really enjoyed the buildup of the moments between the three of them and where the story leaves the characters at the end.

The Art: Reis delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the environments of the alien planets Reis creates as well as the great character designs and action.
