The Rundown: Nico teams with Scarlet Witch to find their loved ones in a twisted game.

Nico Minoru is on the run from a rampaging dragon and she has nowhere to go and no one to turn to until a door appears that brings her to Wanda’s shop. After telling Wanda that her son Billy and his husband invited Nico and her girlfriend over for a game, their quiet evening is interrupted by a group of rampaging orcs that drive them from the apartment.
Wanda goes to the apartment with Nico and discovers that there is no damage, but the game they were playing seems to be a gateway into a parallel universe. A universe that Wanda and Nico discover is part of a bigger plan by Nightmare. A plan that will require the two spellcasters to seek help from a familiar face.
The Story: Whitley crafts a fun, entertaining and thrilling story in this issue. I have always been a fan of Strange Tales and this issue brings all of the elements that I love about the magical world of the Marvel universe. I like the team up of Wanda and Nico and the story has some fun twists and turns that I enjoyed as a TTRPG player as well. I look forward to see where the story goes next.
The Art: Underwood crafts some beautifully detailed and visually thrilling art in this issue. I really enjoyed the visual style and the action throughout.
