The Rundown: The students of Strange Academy find themselves facing down one of their own.

Voodoo and the students of Strange Academy find themselves standing against the creature who has been influencing Calvin and they learn of the creature’s connection to Doctor Strange. Using Calvin as a mean of getting revenge, the creature bonded with the boy at his lowest and fed off his pain. They also learn the truth about the attack on Toth as the creature reveals all. As Calvin goes after Voodoo, the students step in to fight back.

As the group finds itself almost powerless to stop the creature feeding off their terror and pain, one of the students will come up with a bold plan to stop the entity once and for all. A plan that will require all of the students to reach into the darkness within.

The Story: Young brings the big arc regarding Calvin to a satisfying close and showcases what makes this book and these characters so special. There is so much heart in this series and this issue shows how these characters come together despite their interpersonal conflicts. The action and drama are fun and the issue ends on some great moments for the characters and the promise of new things to come.

The Art: Ramos delivers some masterful imagery throughout this issue. There are so many great visual moments and the style of the art is the perfect complement to the story and its characters.
