One of the horror masters earliest short stories is going to be adapted to the big screen as well. The short story Suffer the Little Children was originally published in the magazine Cavalier in 1973 and went on to be added to an anthology of short stories by King called Nightmares and Dreamscapes. The story follows a small town teacher who discovers that something is happening to the children in her class when they come back changed from the night before and staring at her intently. As she learns more about the children and what they have become, her fear and paranoia cause her to take desperate action.

The film adaptation is currently in the works with writer/director Sean Carter attached. Carter’s next film is the Bella Thorne horror thriller Keep Watching.
