The Rundown: The Enterprise crew fights to retake the ship when the next leg of the race becomes more dangerous.

With Aisla in control of the Enterprise, she has moved the ship into attack range of another racer. A move that could destroy the ship and Spock in the process. Pike manages to find a way to communicate with the other ship to warn them, but the message prompts the other ship to destroy Enterprise as a threat.

Pike and the others look for an unconventional way of retaking the Enterprise while Spock attempts to convince the alien Captain to work with them to help everyone. A plea that Spock might have to make to an unlikely source.

The Story: A suspenseful and entertaining ride from Parrott. The story is thrilling and filled with great action and tension. An enjoyable issue that not only has a great Trek feel to it, but compelling stakes and a great cliffhanger ending that makes me want to read more.

The Art: Hernandez delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. The visuals both inside and outside of the ship are provocative and sometimes beautifully trippy.
