After delays, setbacks and legal entanglements with fans, CBS All-Access has finally given fans a premiere date for the new series Star Trek: Discovery.

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY

Star Trek: Discovery will premiere September 24, 2017 on CBS at 8:30 pm ET/ 9:30 pm PT. After the premiere episode, the rest of the series will be available on the CBS All-Access streaming service. The 15 episode series will not be available all at once on the service. Instead, All-Access will release the series in two chapters. Chapter 1 will run the first eight episodes once a week from September 24th through November 5th. The next chapter will begin January 2018.

Star Trek, one of the most iconic and influential global television franchises, returns to television 50 years after it first premiered with STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. STAR TREK: DISCOVERY will follow the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new lifeforms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself. The series will feature a new ship, new characters and new missions, while embracing the same ideology and hope for the future that inspired a generation of dreamers and doers.
