The Rundown: Agatha Harkness is building a new Darkhold and is pitting Spidey against Wolverine in order to do it.

Spider-Man is fighting Rhino in the city and in the aftermath finds himself transported to a mysterious city in the middle of nowhere. At the same time, Agatha Harkness is confronted about her attempts to create a new Darkhold, but she will not be intimidated.

Peter discovers he’s not alone when Wolverine appears and the pair find themselves fighting over a mysterious orb that has compelled them both to take it.

The Story: Phillips creates a solid story with interesting stakes and enough mystery to keep me engaged. There is a lighter tone to the story than I was expecting from both the cover and the description. I was expecting something more brutal with higher stakes for the characters, but the story is satisfying and fun at times. I look forward to seeing what comes next from this series.

The Art: Foche’s art is fun and engaging. I liked the visual style and the backgrounds a lot.
