The Rundown: Al has sent a message to both heaven and hell with his latest show of power and the aftermath will have unintended consequences.

SPAWN

Both representatives from Heaven and Hell have been taken out with a massive showing of Spawn’s power. In the aftermath, those loyal to those forces do their best to cover up what happened and Al Simmons goes back into hiding. He continues to make his presence felt by giving interviews, but even Marc is starting to notice something is different.

The explosion of power Al set loose on the planet has had some unintended consequences and one of those consequences confronts Spawn as he goes to get weapons to protect himself. At the same time, Spawn goes on the hunt for his missing “soldiers”. When the brother of one of them tracks him down, it does not end well and new hellspawns rise to power.

The Story: After decades of story and over 300 issues, Todd McFarlane still has the ability to both surprise and push the boundaries with story and character. There are great moments throughout this issue and everything in it opens up doors to more exciting stories to come. Every chapter of this issue is the start of another interesting and engaging story. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

The Art: Every artist brings their best to these pages and all of the art is beautiful to look at.
