The Rundown: An accident creates a threat Space Ghost might be powerless to stop.

Contra Industries is preparing to launch a new and exciting new piece of technology and Jan and Jace are on hand to witness their grandfather’s invention. Unfortunately, Doctor Cyclo is there as well to not only kidnap Contra, but to destroy the device. When it is turned on, Cyclo’s robots attack and Space Ghost appears to stop the attack, but not before Contra is caught in the antimatter explosion.
Waking up in the hospital, Contra acts strangely towards his grandchildren and Cyclo ends up dead in his lab. Space Ghost discovers something that leads him to Contra’s home where he discovers that the antimatter energy has changed the scientist into something powerful and deadly.
The Story: Pepose crafts a thrilling, inventive and exciting story in this issue. Not only does the story begin with great action and adventure, but it creates great drama and conflict as Contra begins to change. There is a wonderful tragedy at play in the story as events begin to unfold and I not only like the mystery in the story, but Space Ghost’s confrontation with Contra without the kids being present. This arc is starting off firing on all cylinders and I look forward to seeing what’s next.
The Art: Lau creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the action and how visually dynamic it is.
