The Rundown: Space Ghost ponders the future and whether he is needed in it.

After their latest battle, the kids are asleep and Dax decides to leave them a note after thinking about what he should do next. He heads to his trophy room to confront the physical manifestation of his alter ego Space Ghost to get answers on what he should do next. A decision that could break up the team and end Space Ghost forever.

As he contemplates what he should do, their latest adventure plays in his mind and the decisions he made that put Jan and Jace in danger as well as the miscalculation he made regarding his adversary. Questions that will bring him to a decision. At the same time, the Galactic Federation finds something that could possibly help them face threats in the galaxy, but the world they are on has their own protectors.

The Story: Pepose crafts a thoughtful, engaging and compelling story in this issue. The story is more subdued after the big action of the previous arc and gives the reader and the character a moment to breathe and take in the changes that have been happening to Dax and the kids. It’s an entertaining story with heart and not only has some great learning moments for Space Ghost but also introduces a new arc that I am really excited about as a kid who grew up in the 80’s.

The Art: Lau crafts some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I continue to love the character designs and the awesome action, but the final image of the issue if beautifully done and ramps up my excitement about what is coming next.
