The Rundown: As Erica plans for her next confrontation, Cutter moves in.

Gabi continues to attract the monster that killed her family while also dealing with her own pain. At the same time, the creature itself picks up her scent and goes on the hunt while the local cops continue to believe that the monster is really Erica.

As Erica prepares to take down the creature, Cutter manages to find her way to their location and prepares for a final showdown.

The Story: James Tynion IV crafts an issue filled with mounting tension. I love all the silent moments in the issue with Cutter maneuvering around Erica and the others. The twist with the monster is really good and I love how it keeps the local cops distracted from the real fight that is primed to take place. I continue to love the pace and tone of this arc and how high the stakes are getting for Erica. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Dell’Edera delivers beautiful art in the issue. The visuals perfectly capture and enhance the rising tension of the story.
