The Rundown: Valkira has taken one of Stetson’s friends and trying to help him might doom the world.

Valkira reveals what she is and exactly what she wants. So much that she has surrendered herself to Stetson and her team in the body of her friend Ed. After locking him down, Stetson decides to take Finch inside Ed’s dreams to stop the demon once and for all. Unfortunately, that seems to be exactly what Valkira wants.

When Aadya finally wakes up in the hospital, things get more difficult as she decides to bring the full might of the police down on Stetson’s head. As they travel within Ed’s dreams, they discover where Valkira is hiding, but a new twist is introduced that could change everything about Stetson’s mission.

The Story: Tyler Burton Smith is crafting an entertaining and compelling story in this series and this issue has some great tension throughout. The plot has a great pace and the increase in the stakes happen organically to draw in the reader. I like the short introduction to Valkira in the beginning of the issue and how we can see her motivations and how Stetson plays a role in them. I am excited to see how this story concludes.

The Art: Cardinali has an interesting visual style and that wonderfully enhances both the story and characters within it while also visually ramping up the tension.
