After years of fan campaigns and online hashtags, fans of the NBCUniversal comedy Community have something to celebrate.

According to Deadline, Peacock has greenlit a feature film for Community that will reunite the original cast of the series (no word yet on whether Chevy Chase would return or even if he’d be welcomed). Dan Harmon, the creator of Community, will return for the film along with cast members Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong.

Donald Glover and Yvette Nicole Brown’s characters left the series and there is no word on whether they will return to either star or cameo in the feature. Dan Harmon and Andrew Guest will write Community: The Movie for Peacock, who is also acquiring the complete series library in a non-exclusive agreement.

No word on the release date of the film or who is directing, but considering Avengers: Endgame and Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors the Russo Brothers directed several episodes of the series and are friends with the cast, my fingers are crossed that they sign on.

Let me know what you think in the comments.
