The Rundown: The detectives have one last shot at finding the killer.

After finding another potential wife who happens to be the daughter of the victim, the detectives are no closer to finding out who killed the man than they were before. After speaking with the wife and daughter, they receive an anonymous tip that leads them to a rival sect and its leader.

After finding evidence that implicates the leader of that sect to the murder, he is taken into custody but Aguilar has her doubts. Doubts that will lead her to confront the real killer as two of the wives decide that it is time to finally leave before their new leader takes over the compound.

The Story: After following the entire series, the finale felt disappointingly anti-climactic. Was I expecting something huge to happen? Not really. Everything progressed towards a finale I expected and that’s the problem. There was the makings of a great mystery in this series and the previous issues were layered with doubt, suspects, red herrings and secrets that kept me engaged. The ending just felt rushed and nothing was paid off for either the characters or the reader.

The Art: Bergin-Dicoi creates some impressive imagery throughout the issue. I liked the visuals a lot.
