The Rundown: Batman and Robin arrive in Nepal and discover something shocking.

The story opens with Batman and his team discussing the Secret Society’s whereabouts and reviewing the current situation. Elsewhere, Deathstroke takes action against his enemies in Nepal where he is soon challenged by Talia Al-Ghul. Then, Batman and Robin arrive on the scene and their search for Talia and Deathstroke leads to several painful discoveries. Finally, Batman and his cohorts are faced with a surprising turn of events.

The Story: There are a lot of surprising reveals in this action packing chapter. More so, if the reader has not been following the events of The Shadow War crossover event. I was impressed with the level of emotional depth that was imparted in such a small amount of time. Overall, I really enjoyed this episode and am very interested in what happens next for Damian Wayne.

The Art: This issue uses detailed drawings and a mainly blue toned color palette to create an impressive and highly immersive visual experience. The attention placed on characters in both background and foreground setting does much to convey the intensity of the various scenes, especially those comprised of action sequences. It also tonally matches with the story being told.
