The Jon Favreau (The Lion King) produced live action Star Wars series The Madalorian has added a new member of its cast.
The series, being produced for the upcoming streaming service Disney+, will follow the adventures of a new Mandalorian hero in the wake of the events of Return of the Jedi and before the events of The Force Awakens. According to the company description of the series; “After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.”
The new series has already cast actor Pedro Pascal (Kingsman: The Golden Circle) as its lead and actress Gina Carano (Deadpool) in an undisclosed role.
Actor Nick Nolte has been cast on the series in another unknown role. The actor is known for his roles in films like 48 Hours, Mulholland Falls, The Thin Red Line and Gangster Squad.
The Mandalorian is currently in production with a launch date of 2019 on Disney+.
