EW has debuted a new series of photos from the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan feature Glass.
Glass is a sequel to Shyamalan’s films Unbreakable and Split and these new photos confirm that the film will take place in what looks like a mental hospital with the three main principal members being kept there as patients. Take a look at them and tell me what you think.
The first photo confirms that Elijah Price (Samuel L Jackson), Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy) and David Dunn (Bruce Willis) are all being held in together in the same facility. What’s interesting is that even though Price is guilty of multiple acts of domestic terrorism and Crumb has murdered multiple people, Dunn in the one in restraints. This probably has something to do with David’s superhuman strength.
The next photo has Elijah Price alias Mr. Glass decked out in his full supervillain purple suit. Glass’ plan in Unbreakable was to find his purpose by discovering his opposite, an unbreakable hero to counter his physically fragile villain. Is David’s capture and detention part of Glass’ plan? If so, what role does The Horde play in those plans?
This photo shows Kevin Wendell Crumb being confronted by and seemingly comforted by Casey Cooke (Anya Taylor-Joy). Cooke is the only known survivor of her encounter with Crumb and it’s interesting to see her comforting him. Both Elijah’s mother and David’s son will be featured in the film as well.
The final photo shows Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story, Oceans 8) in her role as Dr. Ellie Staple in the film. Her character is described as a doctor who “treats people who believe they are superheroes” and will be treating all three characters. It will be interesting to see what her role is in the events of the film.
Let me know what you think in the comments below.
Glass will premiere in theaters January 18, 2019.
