Netflix is preparing to bring to audiences of the streaming service a new series based on the Shirley Jackson classic from 1959 The Haunting of Hill House.
The new series will be a modern re-imagining of The Haunting of Hill House. It has already been ordered to series for a ten episode arc and the series has already hired its lead actor. The Haunting of Hill House will feature Game of Thrones star Michiel Huisman as Steven Crane, the oldest Crane sibling and writer of supernatural books including a memoir about the family’s time living in the 80-year-old mansion known as Hill House.
Mike Flanagan (Oculus) will write, direct and executive produce the series for Paramount Television. Huisman is well-known as the character of Daario Naharis on Game of Thrones.
