Reveals continue this weekend as San Diego Comic Con continues to showcase the best in geek culture.
Tonight, after the star-studded Defenders panel at Comic Con, Netflix released a brand new trailer for Marvel’s The Defenders airing next month on the streaming service. In it, you see the main characters themselves and are introduced to Sigourney Weaver’s mysterious character. A character that has not only resurrected Elektra, but has Madam Gao answering to her as well. The bringing together of these heroes also brings Stick (Scott Glenn) out of the shadows and back into Daredevil’s life. Many of the scenes deal with the threats to the people who are closest to the Defenders in their lives along with the creeping menace of Weaver’s Alexandra.
Blind ninja. Smart-ass detective. Bulletproof ex-con. Kung Fu billionaire. Marvel’s The Defenders centers on four outsider heroes that have to put aside their personal issues and come together when a villainous sect threatens to destroy New York City as we know it.
The Netflix original series launches globally on August 18, 2017.
