The Rundown: Marvin takes on the first of his dangerous foes in a world that doesn’t seem to want his help.

Marvin’s connection to a future ruled by technology has cost him everything and he is determined to free humanity from the chokehold the machines have on it. His first target is a powerful techno creature that gives humans upgrades that they are willing to kill to afford.

After a tense and destructive battle with the creature, Marvin finds his powers taken from him when he turns on the people he’s trying to save. A move that will send him running to someplace he never thought he would go and to someone he never thought he would see again.

The Story: Guillory crafts an exciting and thought provoking story filled with interesting characters and conflicts. I love the action in the story, but also the stakes for the characters both internal and external. Marvin is an interesting character and his mission takes some interesting twists and turns that have me invested in seeing what happens to him next.

The Art: Lotfi crafts some beautifully detailed and exciting art throughout the issue. The visuals are thrilling and filled with great action.
