The Rundown: Miles takes on the Assessor and discovers another secret of the Beyond Corporation.
Miles and Shift have made it to the Assessor and begin to interrogate him until Miles determines that dealing with a computer program is a waste of time and they need to turn him off at the source. After making it to the bottom of the lab, Miles and Shift are attacked by Quantum in an attempt to stop them from finding the server. After taking him down, Miles and Shift discover where the Assessor’s servers are contained, but they are surrounded.
As they fight against their attackers, they get some unexpected help giving Miles the time he needs to find the server. After stopping the Assessor and learning that Beyond is behind everything, Miles discovers something even more shocking. Something that will send him into the multiverse to bring back someone he lost.
The Story: Ahmed delivers a thrilling, fun and action packed story in this issue. The plot is very straightforward and that is what makes it work in the context of both Miles’ personal story and the broader Beyond Corporation storyline. I like the progression of the story, the character changes and the ending reveal a lot.
The Art: Bandini and Zagaria deliver some great visuals throughout the issue. The art is lively, filled with energy and exciting.
