Ant-Man and the Wasp star Michael Pena has booked the lead role in a new film from Blumhouse Pictures.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pena has been cast as Mr. Roarke in the Blumhouse production of Fantasy Island. Jeff Wadlow is attached to direct the film from a script by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach.

The original series chronicled the adventures and misadventures of guests to the mysterious Fantasy Island and their host Mr. Roarke. Roarke would bring guests to the island and allow them to live out their fantasies for good or ill with many of them learning lessons about themselves or finding love.

Ricardo Montalbon played the original Roarke on the ABC series and Malcolm McDowell played the character in a remake series that took a slightly darker tone. According to the THR article, “The new movie will follow a group of guests who are warned by the island’s overseer, Mr. Roarke, that their fantasies may not play out how they expect.”

Michael Pena can next be seen in the Netflix series Narcos: Mexico and the big screen adaptation of the children’s show Dora the Explorer.
