The Rundown: Rose discovers the dark truth about her past as she faces off against the cause of her pain.

The witch known in life as Eleanor continues to draw on the power of the fantasy realm Rose created before releasing Elliot from her minion and sending him to the same cell she’s holding Rose. After learning the truth about how Eleanor caused her the pain she has been experiencing her entire life, Rose discovers a power she never knew she had.

After escaping with Elliot, the pair try to evacuate as many of the magical creatures as they can from the world as the witch’s minion begins to attack and the witch herself prepares for war.

The Story: Parker and Sheridan deliver some great moments for Rose and Elliot in this issue. The story is filled with great tension and suspense and the blistering action is beautifully tempered by the rising determination of the character as she discovers her own power.

The Art: Quinn delivers some great moments visually as the story has both great action and character moments. I really enjoy the visual style of this series.
