The Rundown: The League’s fight against the titans takes a darker turn when the Legion of Doom makes their next move.

The League regroups after trapping Godzilla at the bottom of the sea. At the same time, Lex has finished his Mecha-Godzilla and has landed in Metropolis and Superman has disappeared from his healing chamber.

The rest of the Legion prepares to leave as Lex calls more titans to the city. As the League moves in to intercept, Grodd arrives with his newest acquisitions Kong and Supergirl. As a battle wages throughout the city, a trapped Godzilla receives an unexpected visitor.

The Story: Buccellato crafts a story filled with action and thrills as the suspense continues to grow throughout the issue. There is a great energy to the story that permeates every moment from the League’s meeting to Superman’s re-emergence and even the Grodd attack on Metropolis. I enjoyed the wall to wall action throughout the issue and the tense cliffhanger that it ended on.

The Art: Duce and Derenick deliver some great art in the issue. The monsters look amazing and the action is visually thrilling throughout.
