The Rundown: Cyborg’s secret mission will reveal a potentially dangerous situation for Red Tornado’s new team.

Cyborg has been sent on a secret mission to infiltrate a lab in Taiwan to steal back a quantum processor. After taking down security and finding the target, he discovers that the chip belonged to the company he stole it from. A revelation that will send him to seek out Red Tornado who sent him on the mission.

At Tornado’s secret base, Simon and Power Girl are confronting Red Tornado about the mission they were sent on to destroy a machine that was being used to feed hungry people when Cyborg arrives. Tornado is forced to tell them the truth about their missions and how they connect to the missing Red Arrow. As Simon Baz and Cyborg go to rescue the hero, Power Girl is shown something directly connected to her past.

The Story: Ahmed crafts an entertaining story in this issue and it serves as an interesting follow up to the first issue. While the mystery at the heart of the story is intriguing, I had issues with the level of agency of the characters. The fact that these heroes could be so easily manipulated by one of their own is troubling and does not instill me with a lot of confidence these characters can pull off something so important.

The Art: Henry delivers stunning art throughout the issue. The character designs are great and I love the colors by Prianto.
