Brutus has returned to his world and even after being defeated twice by the League, he insists that their world is worth taking. A sentiment that the woman who sent him does not share. As he tries to convince her, they discover that the Justice League has followed them back. The heroes find themselves dealing with a strange enhancement to their powers as Naomi finds herself dealing with something much worse.

Justice League Dark finds themselves dealing with the aftermath of Merlin’s spell as a shop owner is killed by an army of mythical creatures that the League must stop. As they work to find a way to undo the spell, a mysterious knight is pulled from the rubble of a building and taken to a hospital. When she recovers, she escapes into a world she has never seen and immediately makes her way to Gotham to recover stolen items of immense power.

The Story: Bendis’ story take some interesting turns for the characters. It’s well paced and entertaining, especially in how Naomi’s world affects the heroes and Naomi herself. The Justice League Dark story is compelling and entertaining as well. There are some great character moments and the story is engaging to readers and fans of the characters.

The Art: Both stories have beautiful art that showcases the characters with wonderful detail and great action.
