The Rundown: The team must find the human host of the Spectre with the entire Amazon army standing in the way.
The team has made their way to Themyscira and find themselves surrounded by the Amazon army. Diana finds it difficult to convince her sisters to let them enter Tartarus, even with her mother there and the situation becomes even worse when the power of the Spectre infects the warriors.
As the team fights the Amazons, Diana takes charge in order to fight back without hurting anyone. As they split to get to the entrance, John Stewart must hold the Amazons at bay while the rest of the team takes a dangerous trip inside to find John Corrigan. A task that will become more dangerous when Tartarus himself arrives to escape back into the world.
The Story: The story gets more intense in this new issue. What makes it work even more is that it also gets personal for Diana. Venditti does a great job of putting her in the lead and having her take command of the team in a scenario that utilizes their strengths against the Amazons. I enjoyed the fact that, despite their interpersonal conflicts, the Justice League came together as an effective unit with Wonder Woman in command. A great action packed story that ends with a palpable and interesting threat.
The Art: Xermanico and Robson Rocha deliver some impressive visuals throughout this issue. From the action to the scope of the battle scenes, every page had something visually interesting and engaging to look at.
