The Rundown: Jumpscare is in the belly of the beast and has to find a way to escape and save her sister.

Allie is trapped in the lair of the Dismal Concordat and none of the weapons she can manifest seem to be able to break through the cage. As she is taunted by the one who captured her, she shows him quickly that she is skilled at improvising and uses her powers to escape the prison and go on a killing spree against the creatures who captured her and her sister.
After finding Grindhouse and freeing him, she goes looking for her sister and finds other monsters that have been imprisoned to be experimented on and decides to free them as well before finding her sister in order to bring her home. As Jumpscare finds a new community of monsters that she is responsible for, her sister gets a rude awakening from her parents when she returns home and tells them what her sister can do.
The Story: Bunn delivers a thrilling, intense and thoroughly entertaining story in this issue. I love the tension throughout the story and how Jumpscare’s determination leads to some kick ass action and thrills. The story has a wonderful mixture of horror and humor and the events lead to a conclusion that makes me excited to see what happens next for the character and her world.
The Art: Luckert delivers visual thrills throughout the issue. The imagery is beautifully detailed and filled with fun, funny and horrific moments.
