The Rundown: A young man of strange power terrorizes a town and his mother.

Cora Rehms is having a baby. A baby that arrives fully formed, dressed and an angelic smile. A smile that hides something dark. Years later in the town of Enoch, Jordy Rehms takes a trip down the street and strange things follow in his wake.
After returning home to his mother, a smiling Jordy is confronted by Cora about what a man who challenged him in the street did to himself with Jordy present. As the young man’s birthday party goes into full swing, Jordy decides to teach his mother a lesson with an uninvited guest and Cora prays for a way to kill her own son.
The Story: Jude Ellison S. Doyle crafts a darkly compelling and interesting story in this first issue. It’s a wonderful blend of supernatural and psychological horror that grabbed my attention immediately. There are definite Twilight Zone vibes to the story and it does a fantastic job of crafting atmosphere, tension and terror within the plotting and character interactions. I am locked into this world and look forward to seeing where it goes next.
The Art: Estherren delivers fantastic art throughout the first issue. The visuals perfectly capture the dark and ominous tone of the story.
