Cible aka Blunderghast the Invincible is trying to rally her troops to take on the Owl King and his forces. Unfortunately, Cible is a worm and her stature doesn’t exactly give the goblins confidence in her abilities. This becomes a bigger problem when the goblins decide to attack the group.

When Maria demonstrates her power, the goblins back off and start to believe that there is a chance that they can finally overthrow the Owl King. When the Owl King’s forces attack, Maria and her friends find themselves trapped and betrayed by an enemy in their midst.

This was a fine continuation of the story that has grabbed my attention overall. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much there that was interesting until the end of the issue. The Cible story has yet to be compelling enough to be anything other than a footnote to the bigger story and spending an issue on the character seemed like a waste. Side characters in this story are an interesting addition, but Maria’s journey is where the reader’s mind is and deviating from it like this left me a little cold.

The art, as always, is amazing. I am a huge fan of the character designs in this story and the rich backgrounds add so much to the story and the reader’s vision of this world.
