Deron GenerallySomething that many of us, myself included, have hinted at since seeing the phenomenal first part of Stephen King’s IT on-screen is who would be perfect to cast in the roles of the adult Loser’s Club.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, my first choice to play the adult Beverly Marsh is currently in talks to take on the role. Award winning actress Jessica Chastain is in talks to take on the role of Beverly in the upcoming second chapter of Andy Muschietti’s IT film, which will see the return of Bill Skarsgard as the murderous Pennywise the Clown.
Sophia Lillis played Beverly in the first film, which became a huge commercial and critical hit when it was released last year. Chastain has been many fans first choice to take on the role of Beverly as an adult. Chastain has worked with director Andy Muschietti in the past in his horror film Mama and she has talked about wanting to work with the director again.
Muschietti will return to direct the next chapter with chapter 1 screenwriter Gary Dauberman currently writing the screenplay for chapter 2.
IT: Chapter 2 is scheduled to be released September 6, 2019.
