According to a report in Deadline, the film is getting two new writers to overhaul the script. Art Marcum and Matt Holloway have been brought in to take over the script. The duo wrote the screenplay for the original Iron Man film and their latest screenplay was for Men In Black: International which opens this year.

The project, which moved from Warner Brothers to Sony, has changed hands several times. Most recently, David S. Goyer was on board to write and direct, but he left the production which was given to the Nee Brothers. The film was originally supposed to be released December 20, 2019, but the change in writers is a definite sign that the film will be pushed back to 2020 at least.
